Going here for vacation soon. Does anyone know what the rules are on wearing a thong to the beach? Thinking of going out tanning alot while I’m over there and getting the courage to wear a thong out on a public beach. Any help would be appreciated. I can’t find anything referring to swimwear on a public beach.

There are a bunch of Silver Lakes in MI, the state contains 11,000 inland lakes. Do you mean Silver Lake Dunes State Park?

If so I would not tempt fate. Conservation Officers are considered law enforcement, with the notable exception that they don’t need warrants for searches.

For a second opinion, you could contact the local municipality (Hart) or even the park ranger station and ask what the beach attire rules are. Regulations vary from place to place in MI, but State Parks draw lots of families and tend to be conservative.
