At first glance Miles looks like a raved out twink ready for a night out on E and listening to electronic blips and bleeps, but then you realize he’s actually a hockey player and he’s brought along his big stick. His retro blue Aussiebum briefs, polyester sports jacket and sweatband could easily pass on a dance floor as the gym floor. Regardless, it’s a fun look and although the young ones aren’t my type, I can appreciate that he’s really cute and those blue briefs suit him.

HIspandex is a pretty cool site that’s been around for a while now. From what I can tell, it’s one single guy who’s taken photos of latin men on a New York beach. Some of the photos are older, and some newer, but the way they’ve been shot give the photos a completely retro feel. They are all a bit over saturated and grainy, but this just adds to their appeal. Like capturing a moment in time back when guys in speedos were the norm and men had regular bodies, not the steroid and gym perfected bodies you see today. HIspandex is also not agist, as you’re likely to see young virile youths and elderly gentlemen all enjoying themselves (often with their families) on the beach.

I discovered Gert Harms through Flickr one day, and with a click of a photo of his, I was catapulted into a small snippet of his world. I soon discovered a huge gallery of his work and also a website displaying his art photography and painting - all incredible I might add. Before we begin, I’d just like say every cloud has it’s silver lining, and I know it’s a cliche, but it couldn’t be more true in this situation.
Many of you know about Rate My Shlong. They’ve been online for a long time. The concept was simple - register for free, upload a photos of your dick and have people rate it.
Bush and his sidekick John Ashcroft in a political move under the guise of protecting people from Child Porn came up with a set of new rulings for porn companies to abide by known simply as 2257. They got quickly passed and essentially made it next to impossible for honest adult entertainment producers to abide by the new legislation. They made it mandatory (and a felony if they didn’t abide) for producers to not only have ID for each model, but also time and dates of productions, plus times and dates of any other production a model was ever in (even if it was not their own), to post all this information on their websites, to know any other stage names the models may have used in the past. If one company licensed the photos or videos to another company for use on a site, then that other company would have to keep all those same records - breach of privacy anyone? It wasn’t the impossible record keeping that is the real stupidity of the whole thing but as I said, the purpose of all this regulation was to stop Child Porn. Now, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that kiddy porn doesn’t happen of mainstream law abiding commercial websites, but in underground chat rooms and basements and other sordid places. Typical.
BUT…
Because of all this, sites like Rate My Shlong decided that until the whole 2257 blows over (and it doesn’t seem like it’s going away) that they will only allow clothed photos - which just means that it’s become a big ol’ underwear smörgÃ¥sbord.
