Adrian and myself (John) would like to wish everyone a wonderful 2008. Heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who have supported our websites and projects over the past few years. We’ve got lots of ideas and plans for the new year for all our sites which include our second annual “Show us your jockstrap” contest starting in February. I mention the contest as a heads-up to get those jockstraps and cameras out. We’re looking for creativity this year and we’re changing up the voting rules as well to ensure a more fair contest.

Although many of you realize it, many don’t know we’re now a family of websites and blogs. We do our best to keep them all updated regularly, but it’s impossible to update all the blogs daily, so if you visit one and don’t find an update, then try visiting our other ones. USG-online.com is the site that started it all. With an obsession for underwear and a passion for collecting it, I created a list of bookmarks of places to buy underwear online. Un-der-wear.com is the sister site to USG-online and although the boundary between the two sites is blurred these days, originally I needed a second site for the fetish side of my underwear fascination because many companies I dealt with didn’t want to be associated with anything adult:

MustBeGay is an older site that has been completely be “recharged” as a blog. Although is used to be a directory of gay websites (and the directory is still there), it is now a blog that covers anything we feel is interesting and gay. The directory part of the site is in need of a complete overhaul and will be one of the first projects for 2008:

The main difference between Un-der-where? and Un-der-who? is simply that Un-der-who? will be a bit more in your face x-rated where this blog tends to be a bit more g-rated. I met Jay Z a while back on the USG-online message boards and he mentioned to me he was starting a underwear blog. I wished him luck and although I meant it, I knew how hard it is to not only build a a website, but especially to build a successful website. Well he honestly surprised me, as he not only built a website, but he built one that has become overwhelmingly successful in a relatively short time. That site is Undies Drawer.

UndiesDrawer is without a doubt, the largest and most comprehensive underwear/swimwear blog out there. Head over there and you’ll find the latest online deals, new product lines, gossip, informative articles and lots of hot guys in underwear (although it’s not an adult blog!!!) The guys just come with the territory.

If you’re an underwear fanatic (like me) or just someone needing to replace their worn underwear then get over there and don’t forget to bookmark it.

As I mentioned before, it’s often hard (pun intended) to find new things to post about but often I find things when I’m not intentionally looking. Today, I was going through our website stats for Jockstrap Central and noticed a blog that had sent us a decent amount of traffic last month. I followed the link over and discovered this amazing full featured blog call Les Ombres. It’s pretty obvious that it’s all about guys, but as it’s g-rated, it’s also very heavily underwear themed.

Unlike most bloggers that post one item a day (like myself), Les Ombres posts multiple items each day. Themes include photographer spotlights, model spotlights, porn shoots (before the clothes come off), and general interesting eye candy and commentary. It’s heavy on pictures and light on words but the balance is perfect.

strange thing is that I never did find any mention of our jockstrap store - guess I’ll just have to go back and look harder!

Can’t remember how exactly I fell upon Amatuerhunk’s blog, but I’m glad I did. Although his blog isn’t strictly about underwear, it’s about many of the things that inspired me when building usg-online and un-der-wear.com. A passion for underwear, a passion for exhibitionism and a passion for photography - and yes, he looks phenomenal in his undies.

Beyond the visuals, however, it’s his honesty in his writing that made we want to mention him here. Whether he’s talking dating, about his passion for photography, or his masturbation technique, I just find myself nodding my head in agreement. For instance - on porn he writes “Usually I am able to come across some good materials for…err… “frisk relief”, but lately, I found that the usual “wang-bang-thank-you-ma’am” type of porn just doesn’t do much for me anymore. Maybe it’s the repetitive and artificial way in which the porn scenes are constructed. You know, the “chat up, kiss, strip, oral, rim, fuck and cum” formula. I think the lack of realism and autheticity is what puts me off sometimes.”

…That’s exactly it! In fact that’s what put me on to youlovejack.com from my previous post- it’s homemade gay porn and it’s real. It’s also why I love my site and especially the user galleries - instead of spending hours scouring the net for that one scene that send me over the edge, I can just come here and see literally thousands of “my type” of photos.
