Shopping on the Beach

We have vacationed at Orient Beach, St. Martin a number of times. Vendors set up tents above the beach selling whatever including thongs, swimwear. We would typically shop in just a thong or g-string and that was all. If you wanted to try something on you would just strip off nude in public and try it on. On several occassions I had men and women "assisting" me with trying things on and usually I got groped. I don't like to shop but this is my kind of shopping! I always looked forward to the beach shopping excursions. This is how I was typically attired while shopping (from one of the trips). blur.jpg (pic from one of the vacations):

We’ve done it too!! Along Orient Beach there are a number of small shops selling jewelry and clothing. The clothing mostly consists of bikinis, thongs, g-strings and pareos. Also the usual kitschy souvenirs, MaDouDou (St Martin rum – really good, really potent) and the usual beach stuff. When shopping for a new bikini it is not at all unusual to strip naked among the other shoppers in the store to try something on. The lady who ran Adam & Eve (the bikini store), a lovely older woman who often ran her business naked. Although there are a number of upscale beachside restaurants we always ate lunch at one of the more basic restaurants/bars run by island natives – we have invariably found them to be personable, conscientious and genuinely grateful for the business. Again bikinis or g-strings are totally acceptable. Most of the people patronizing the beachside businesses are passengers off of the cruise ships in port for the day. It’s a thrill to sit, almost naked, among these “boat people” invariably dressed in conservative two piece bikinis, one piece suits or waist to knee “dork shorts”. Club Orient, the clothing optional resort on the nude section of the beach is long gone, having been destroyed by a hurricane and never rebuilt. But the rest of Orient is alive and well. But just don’t take it from me or thongslut2 go and see for yourself!
