I grew up in a very traditional Christian home as well - very little information about sex, sexuality, sensuality - my parents were very platonic. It all had the effect of coiling my spring for when i went to college and once i discovered life, love and sex, i went bananas on it all. Still got top marks in my coursework but got to date women before discovering men and then shortly after graduation my first post-college BF got me my first 3 thongs and the joys of sex while wearing gear...and that was just the beginning of a new era.Oh God, mate, I think we're related!
I too thought washcloths had erotic potential and would try folding them into shapes in the bath to adorn my private regions. I used to stand on the side of the tub and flex my muscles too - I enjoyed the sight of my own body for some reason.
Also scanned religious literature for sexual content. There was so little information about sex in my Christian home that the little information I did find turned me on. Where else was I going to encounter that delicious and forbidden word "masturbation"?
Masturbation was about fabrics and sensations for me too. I used to masturbate lying face-down on my bed and grind my crotch against the mattress.
Oh and the use of the word queer, agree its a word i try to not use...feels to me like a 1980s term that holds negative connotations. If its not positive, uplifting or empowering i try not to say it
